João Sabino

     Born in 1976, in Fundão (PT), holding a degree in Product Design from ESAD – Caldas da Rainha (PT), nowadays works as an independent designer.

His transforming action on the objects, by redesigning or crossing functions, indulges a transformation on the objects which breaks the sense of familiarity that we possess with them, making a new object emerge which places a radical questioning, interpolating directly the observer. This is because the rupture operated by the designer´s hand creates also a transformation on the observer, as long as it unable the possibility of a relationship, the access to the object, which means, the possibility of evoquing it, as it ceased to be what it once was. His works have been exhibited in many cities such as Lisbon, Milan, Paris and Barcelona.
